Would you like to spend the winter creating memorable experiences for guests in the nature surrounding Arctic Bath?

We are looking for an Outdoor guide / Experience host to join us for the coming winter season. The role is centred around guiding our guests through some of the experiences that make a stay at Arctic Bath special, from snowmobile tours and snowshoe hikes to outdoor dining experiences such as our Arctic Fireside Table dinner.

For us, guiding is about much more than leading an activity. You are a host throughout the experience. Many of our guests travel a long way to discover Swedish Lapland, and we want them to feel safe, welcome and genuinely looked after from the moment an experience begins until they return to the hotel.

About the role

Your main responsibilities may include guiding snowmobile tours, snowshoe hikes and other outdoor winter experiences, as well as hosting our Arctic Fireside Table and similar nature-based experiences.

Safety, preparation and responsibility are essential parts of the role, but so is the ability to connect with people. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting guests from around the world, can read different situations and personalities, and understands how thoughtful, personal service can turn an activity into a lasting memory.

As Arctic Bath is a small hotel, we work closely across departments and are open to shaping the position around the right person.

The guiding role can therefore be offered as part-time work, which may suit someone who already has another part-time position or runs their own business.

For someone looking for a larger seasonal position, guiding can be combined with other responsibilities at Arctic Bath depending on your experience and interests. This could include transfers and driving, maintenance and practical work around the property, snow clearing, housekeeping or other areas of the daily hotel operation.

Who we are looking for

You are comfortable outdoors in winter conditions and have a strong sense of responsibility. You understand that safety always comes first and are confident taking responsibility for guests during an experience.

You should be an experienced and confident snowmobile driver, comfortable operating in winter conditions and able to always put safety first.

Just as importantly, you are naturally service-minded and enjoy being around people. You are warm, attentive and professional, and understand the importance of genuine hospitality.

Previous experience in guiding, outdoor activities, tourism, and hospitality is a requirement for this position.

A valid driving licence, minimum category B, and a valid snowmobile licence are required for this position.

You need to be comfortable communicating in English, as the majority of our guests are international. Swedish and additional languages are an advantage.

Arctic Bath is a small, unique hotel with twelve rooms, SPA, restaurant and activities, located on the Lule River in Harads. We work as a close-knit team where flexibility and collaboration between departments are an important part of everyday life.

We hold ourselves to a high standard and aim to create experiences characterised by quality, personal service and genuine care for our guests.

At the same time, we believe that the right person does not necessarily fit into one predefined role. If you have experience or skills that could complement guiding and contribute elsewhere within Arctic Bath, we would very much like to hear about them.
