The history of Arctic Bath and the ground we honor

The hotels architecture is influenced by the timber floating era. For a long time, Lule River and its tributaries served as transportation routes for timber, an old tradition in the north. The construction of our circular main building, which floats on Lule River, imitates logs getting jammed in rapids. Leran more about this old tradition and our legacy,

Our story

Arctic Bath today

Arctic Bath is a “one of a kind” hotel, SPA, and restaurant floating on the serene Lule River in the middle of northern Sweden. Surrounded by frost-covered forests in winter and sunlit landscapes in the summer it showcases the endless Arctic beauty and offers a truly immersive experience.

At the heart of Arctic Bath lies a circular main building inspired by log driving history, home to our spa with the characteristic cold bath, saunas, Jacuzzis, and treatment rooms. The restaurant showcases local flavours, while the lounge and bar offer the perfect spot to unwind.

Our guests unwind in our striking Land, Water, or Suite cabins that blend modern Scandinavian design with nature, featuring glass walls, floating walkways, and cozy interiors crafted from wood and stone.

Whether you seek adventure or relaxation, Arctic Bath promises an unforgettable journey into the wonders of the north – no matter the season.

Sustainability in our mind

The act of Caring. The three pillars of sustainability are Environmental, Social, and Economic sustainability.
These pillars form the foundation for creating a balanced approach to development that meets the needs of the present without compromising future generations' ability to meet their own needs.
