For 3h, experience the tradition of baking northern Swedish bread, known as Mjukkaka, in a charming, old-fashioned wood-burning bakery.
Join our guide in a historical setting where families have been baking this iconic bread for generations. Learn about the origins of these baking houses, their cultural significance, and why this bread is sometimes called ‘cheapbread’.
You'll get hands-on experience rolling and baking your own Mjukkaka before savoring it fresh from the oven, served with cold cuts and a refreshing beverage. Since we bake by an open fire, the baking house can get quite warm, so we recommend wearing light clothing.
